Though I don't IM a lot, or even consistently, there are moments when I find it incredibly useful. Google talk (wouldn't Google Gab be an even better name?) is what I've frequented most, with family or friends. The MA Law Librarians are AWESOME, and last year I had a fabulous experience getting assistance from them via chat -- I don't even remember what my question was (and it was for me, not a patron), but I remember how helpful and communicative they were and how satisfied I was with the interaction.
So now, to track down our fearless leader and connect via Meebo....
